I am not making this up, but, early this afternoon I received a phone call (which my cell phone caller ID alerted me) from NO NAME. It said that on the front window of my cell phone.
Actually, it was someone I knew (or was it), we talked for a couple of minutes, and the call ended.
Minutes later I flipped open the top of my cell phone (its a flip phone style) and began a search through previous calls so as to return another call. Right there in line, the first/most recent call came from none other than......who?.......who?........you guessed it ANONYMOUS.
There are still more signs out there! Everywhere you look!
There may be many impostors but only one "real" Anonymous. Don't settle for imitation when you can have real thing right here.
Have a truly Anonymous Day!
Peace Out.

What's in a Name?
So, just when I am having trouble dealing with Anonymity...it hits me. Why not Google my name? I type out Charles Edwards and find that there are literally hundreds of other people with my name. Among them is an Actor (British, of course), several Soldiers, a professor or two, a Doctor, Lawyer, and Indian Chief. Ok, maybe not an I. C. It takes me about 23 pages to get to a reference of the real me. I feel way down the chain of importance. Some Charles Edwards's are dead for God sakes and getting Google space ahead of me!
Heck, I google a friend Mike Artell and find 30 pages of Google shit just on him. Should it matter if he is a world-renown author and illustrator of children's books? He did give me a shout out in one of his books which means something, eh? I am not sure that he doesn't spend all his waking hours Googling his name for it to be recorded on their lists or did he pay a fee? Never mind, he's just famous and a all round good guy, too.
Then I opted to try Anonymous.....BINGO. Lot's of Google hits. There are a ton of Quotes attributed to me. That's pretty fking cool. Let me go forth and quote my ass off. I do have somewhat of a jump on that, as I have told many a friend my philosophy of life. It is a short phrase of three words. If you don't know it, you gotta call me to get it Grasshopper.
In the meantime....I remain....Anonymous.
Peace Out and Rock On!

Signs, signs, everywhere signs........
What does it say? Is it a sign that my shiny new name plate is delivered and posted on my parking spot and some yahoo comes late into the night to my reserved spot where my nice new sign with name and title stands proudly and proceeds to bash it. Is this a sign? Hey People, Where's the Love?
What does it say? Is it a sign that every time I log in to this Blog, Blogger has a little check box that says REMEMBER ME.....{under normal circumstances one would check it and then when you come back to that page it would REMEMBER YOU and have your Log In information on the screen....for some reason....my information is never remembered. Some how I feel ANONYMOUS?
Being lost out on the W.W.W. is scary....If I am Anonymous no one will know me? I know what it is like to b Anonymous....it isn't always good.....people don't trust people they don't know....you can be misread because the words in text have no way of being read with the same voice inflection you might really want to use.
So tonight, I am not sure I am feeling the love out there?
Wait, wait, I just read this somewhere.....Viva Anonymous....YES!!
Can I get someone to Hug it Out? I must find AnonyMrs.
Peace Out.

My next job.......maybe......doubtful.....HEY, a man can Dream!
TPG - What is it like to be on the "Creative Team"?
Life at an the UPscale, modern, progressive, technologically superior online fundraising conglomerate AKA The Pursuant Group full of 30 somethings is just FANfkingTASTIC, better yet, its GREAT.
Led by the one and only PlaceMatt (a man with vision and a ever expanding plethora of ideas) who when on camera is a dynamic personality. {Aside #1 -all you could want in a boss} You could say he is the next, dare I say, yes, Steve Jobs. Hold on for the ride boys.
I have given it quite a lot of reflective thought and I believe that I have an ounce (that may be the limit, but we don't know at this point) of creativity. It is my hope, dare I say, my DREAM to join the professionals at TPG.
Many are called or call and few are chosen to join the elite cadre' that is known as TPG's "Creative Team". With the bespectacled likes of Jason "Mitchell" Mitchell amongst the team .....what one of you out there would not give his/her eye teeth to play ball with TPG?
Late at night as I prepare for bed I don my "Hug it out, bitch" T-Shirt and dream of those happy days where I can only hope I will one day sit in the spacious confines of Suite 700 with my teammates. I wait patiently for Matt to speak those words we all wait to hear.....GENIUS... or will it be JM saying Viva Anonymous?
I have a Dream!
Or is it a NIGHTMARE?
Peace Out.

Pool Talk - Questions 67 & 68
While taking in the "healing and therapeutic" powers of the pool on Thursday with my WW and Professor RMS it became crystal clear that the discussion of the age old questions 67 & 68 (if I may steal from Chicago)do not often pervade our life, but, must be ask and answered for there to be some meaning to this life around us.
Question 67? What is normal? 67a Who is normal? 67b What is involved in being normal? 67c Is anyone normal? While the Professor was unable to answer concisely any of these proposed questions, it became clear that it was easier to identify things that were not normal (i.e. abnormal). From a philosophical standpoint this is high intelligence shit. We left that discussion with only thoughts of KooKoo Bird Island inhabitants (inside joke). Obvious we got off track here.
Answer: Friday's mail arrived and circled on a postcard to CJ from a doctor's office was the word NORMAL (in response to some tests). Truly a sign that of the three of us CJ is NORMAL. Decision still open on me and RMS. Congratulations Babe.
Question 68 Which will be our Poll this week. How do you like your Grilled Cheese sandwich? With butter between the bread and cheese or Mayonnaise? Along with oft forgotten and hereby recognized Peanut Butter and Jelly the Grilled Cheese are two American staples that fuel us through life. Viva PB&J and Grilled Cheese
Vote in the poll.
Peace Out and Rock On.

A Total Horn Blast from the Past

One hour and 45 minutes of pure d horn activated foot stomping music. I am afraid that C.J. will have bruises on her from my constantly keeping the beat on her body from these "old guys" reviving it up at Beau Rivage last night.
At the end of it all, as everyone was standing clapping for the encore that came and blasted out for another 10 minutes, I was miraculously transported back to the Union Hall on Tchoupitoulas just down from Napoleon Ave.......the only things I was missing was a long neck....my penny loafers and madras shirt. Thanks to Dennis Giurintano for the Union Hall hook up.
What could top last night musically for me? How about a second group following Chicago....lets say.........Tower of Power. Horns, horns, and more horns. Oh sure, JB is great, so is Van M., but for pure d dance your ass off music.....give me Chicago and T of P. You gotta Love It. Thanks for the tickets my love!
Let a little music flow into your life.
Peace Out.

Pardon Me! But, a further digression
Excuse me for not mentioning in the previous post that my beautiful daughter Sarah and her boyfriend Joey Cox are now officially engaged. C.J. (Cindy Jean) and I are really happy for the little couple.
Some random thoughts about the wedding:
There is a lot of talk about when and where......I think the VFW Hall in Key West would be a great place! Beer is cheap there! Not sure all those in attendance would be in proper attire, but, WTF!
I personally do not know what this young man is thinking? Then again, maybe he isn't? Just Kidding.....he is damn lucky to have gotten her to say YES!
Has anyone noticed that Fiance' is one letter away from Finance (think about it Joey)!
OK, I got all the jokes over with we are looking forward to the happy couple participating in the nuptials in the future.
We Love You Both.
CJ and CD
Peace Out and Rock On!

Allow me to digress
Please allow me to digress from my normal discourse at this blog site and revel in the fact that the beautiful young lady picture to the left (in her Bachelor's graduation robe) has completed the necessary courses to earn her M.B.A. She has my chest poking out a little more (OK, still not ahead of my stomach) these days.
Cogratulations to her for being the first Edwards with an M.B.A.!
Hey Babe, you have one more degree to go to catch up with your old man!
My WW and I love her dearly!!
