These are actual (color that real) cases of WTA from our files:
Friend J calls someone he has contracted with to do work at a profit at his business and asks for a favor = Overt use Working the Angle.
Friend R uses the term "Big Dave" and is allowed entrance into an entertainment venue = Subtle use of Working the Angle.
Which is better.....Subtle, of course....there was no pressure for the subtle WTA to work and that is the beauty of it. Also, there is usually more joy for having worked that kind of angle.
